Technical data
- Earth bonded construction consisting of welded wire mesh mats
with eyelets welded right round, (wire diameter of 5.0 mm) - Picture
1 -
- Insertable rods (wire diameter 6.0 mm) - Picture 2 -
- Tiebraces (wire diameter 5.0 mm) - Picture 2 -
- Grid of steel wire mesh mats 10 x 10 cm
- All steel parts are specially aluminium galvanised >350g/m2
- Erosion protection matting and vegetation matting made of
coconut fibre. Where required mats can be embedded with grass seed -

- Geogrids according to static requirements and with official
certificate of approval - Picture 2 -

Picture 5: Setup of the earth bonded construction and connection of the
different layers using insertable rods
- Connect the mats for the front panels along the front side with
insertable rods (picture 4)
- Install and fasten the erosion protection mat on the visible
side of the front panel from the inside with 15 cm overlap in all
directions.
- Insert the tiebraces ( 2 each) at a distance of 20 cm from the
edges and further at a distance of 40 cm and bend the ends over (picture
1)
- Connect the geogrid to the floor panel according to the static
requirements by means of the insertable rod.
- In the case of using Tensar geogrids thread each loop
alternately. The geogrid must be tensioned prior to backfilling.
- In the front part of the front panel the topsoil has to be
applied in layers of a thickness of 20-30cm and alternately
compacted by hand and by machine.
- Fill the remaining area in 2 layers with soil according to the
static requirements and compact ( to at least 97% Proctor density).
Be careful and do not drive directly on the Tensar geogrids.
- Prepare the intermediate plane for the next layer.
- Connect the front panel and the base panel of the next layer to
the top of the front panel of the layer lying beneath it with an
insertable rod. (picture 5)
- Prefabricated angle pieces are connected along the sides by
means of insertable rods and the elements are aligned.
